The Coalition is a non-profit organization whose mission is to help transition homeless and at-risk individuals and families to self-sufficiency through housing programs and supportive services. The Coalition fulfills its mission by operating 9 direct service programs in the District of Columbia to address the specific needs of the homeless.
For 37 years, homeless families and individuals have turned to the Coalition to help them end their homelessness. We have seen many successes and helped thousands leave the streets and shelters behind for a place to call home. With years of experience and leadership, the Coalition is built on the premise of treating the whole person, delivering an array of services, including case management, substance abuse counseling, life skills training, and housing and employment placement assistance.
