Emery Work Bed Program   |   Accomplishments

In July 2006, the former Emery Shelter for Homeless men was transformed into a program designed exclusively for homeless men who are employed or in job training, and renamed the Emery Work Bed Program (EWBP). The EWBP can serve up to 100 men. The unique aspect of the program is that it provides a stable temporary residential environment for homeless men are employed. The typical emergency shelter program operates from 7:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. and when the men leave the facility they must take all of their belongings with them. This is not conducive for men who are working and have no place to store their personal belongings.
